Healing your new tattoo!
1.First remove your bandage after 24- 72 hours. If the seal of the bandage starts to leak , and fluid leaks outside of the bandage; Take it off! If the bandage stays sealed on all sides leave on for the maximum amount of time (72 hours). Remove the bandage under running water to help soften up the adhesive. Peel the film back over itself slowly.
2. Wash tattoo with Antibacterial soap and water using just your hands, rinse clean.
3. Pat dry with clean paper towel or allow to fully air dry.
4. Apply a small bead of ointment (Aquaphor, Bacitracin, or A&D) and rub into tattoo completely. 2 Times per day for 4 days, once in the morning and once in the evening. (WASH tattoo before every application of ointment)
5. blot off any excess ointment with a paper towel.
6. After 4 days of ointment Twice a day, then switch to UNSCENTED lotion for two weeks, at least once a day, or as needed. (Eucerin, Lubriderm, Aveeno, store brand).
KEEP YOUR NEW TATTOO OUT OF THE SUN, and NO SOAKING IN A POOL, HOT TUB, BATHTUB, or BEACH FOR 4 WEEKS! Do Not Shave over, Pick, Peel, or Scratch your healing tattoo.
While healing your bandage will fill up with fluid, this fluid is Plasma, ink, and a little blood, it’s perfectly okay and normal for this to happen, leave it alone!
Your new tattoo while healing will peel, flake, and may scab a little bit, this is normal. It will also be red and swollen. Your tattoo will be very itchy while it heals, DO NOT SCRATCH IT!
